The Right To Pee While Standing Up
Recently a landlord in Germany had a problem. He had nice marble floors in the bathrooms of his apartments. He noticed that when male tenants moved out the floors around the toilets were almost always damaged to some degree. This happened less often with female tenants and he realized why - the dudes were missing the bowl while peeing.
His reponse was to insist that all his male tenants start peeing sitting down.
This did not, ummmmm.., sit well with one of his tenants, who insisted on standing to pee. When the guy moved out the landlord refused to give him his deposit back.
The guy sued and the court sided with him:
"Judge Stefan Hank said men who insist on standing must expect occasional rows with housemates, especially women but cannot be held to account for collateral damage....despite growing domestication of men in this matter, urinating while standing up is still widespread".
So, there you go, in Germany you now have the fundemental right to pee while standing up.
