John on stage?

Last week John said on "The Paul O'Grady" show that he's trying to fit an engagement for the West End's "La Cage Aux Folles" into his schedule. Big hooray!
And today there's an article about John (worth a read, and with a really HOT photograph) in the Independent reporting the same thing

Well, given that CoE isn't going to be shown until probably June at the earliest, and the BBC won't commission S4 until CoE comes up with strong ratings, it doesn't seem reasonable for them to count on filming TW at the usual time. I'm taking a 'wait and see' on this one.

The voice of reason speaking... you're probably right. I guess my brain just did the maths, came up with "no, he can't do both" and then went into panic mode.
Or I'm too much used to US telly, where a new season almost always starts in autumn, so the filming begins about the same time every year *shrugs*

Thanks - as I said above, my brain just went into panic mode when the maths didn't work out...
I'm sure he'll be great. I'm going to see him in Panto anyway, but I'd love to see him in a "real" West End play.

The third series is already filmed and is being advertised - albeit in a 'side promo' - on BBCA. That is a done deal, and has been bought by television stations in Australia and South Africa, as well as the US and UK.

The fourth series is, indeed, in question, and won't be commissioned until and unless the third series produces good ratings.
