That's quite an impressive advertisement for something on RTL2! lol I'd have expected Pro7 to air it actually...wednesdays 10pm? Isn't that the same spot when no one watched Atlantis and Galactica?

I have no idea, unfortunately, since I hardly ever watch any German TV - crazy as it may sound.

Doesn't sound crazy, neither do I - I just know the schedule everytime I visit my Nan the tv programme magazine is the most interesting thing to read....

Well actually, it sounds so horrible that I would like to see one. =) So if anyone wants to upload an episode after airing...

I will ask my Mother to record one when it airs---I hope the above comment is a criticism of the dubbing as I know German is a Lovely language---and more logical than English anyhow---

No worries, nothing wrong with German, just the really strange habit of dubbing something not meant for children.

it's also funny that he's 42 this year b/c John (and, to my everlasting squee, I) share the birthday with Douglas Adams himself!

I have actually read Douglas Adams in German--here is a list---
Leben, Universum und der ganze Rest
Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis
Restaurant am Ende des Universums

My favorite in the first in the list---

I just thought I would mention this boring fact because I was excited to realize that for once I knew exactly what everyone was talking about---

ROFLMAO! I did not know that the very same day was Adams' birthday as well ... and yours!! *squees along*
Nothing can go wrong now - Torchwood will be loved by everybody over here, the dubbing will be perfect...

Most distracting would be to listen to Jack or any of the others with remarkable voices that you were used to connect to Indiana Jones, James Bond, and the like. I'm still hopeful that the dubbed version will be ok. German dubbing studios are pretty good, I guess.
Launching Torchwood on John Barrowman's 42nd birthday - nice choice ;-)

Something tells me RTL2 didn't choose that date because it's John's b-day, they probably haven't got a clue *gg*, but it's a great coincidence :D

Although I'm still afraid of the dubbing. I want to watch one episode, just to shut up my curiosity and then I'll probably get back to the original episodes. I hate dubbing...
