I am so excited it is official! John already told a small group of fans at the stage door but we were asked to keep quiet for the moment. Today it is official, he chose the convention in Pasadena with lots of journalists to reveal that new Torchwood radio plays will be made, with the whole old team! I can't wait to listen to it ( Read more... )

Me too! I hope we don't have to wait too long to listen to them. They need to write them first, and then record...

I wonder if it is just set back in old times, or whether they find a way to bring them back - from a parallel universe or anything - everything is possible!

That is definitely the plus side of being a sci-fi show. :D

The wait will be hell, but at least we know there is something definitely to wait FOR.

Not sharing your exitment. They should move on. For me this looks very much as if TPTB try to cash in on an already dead show. As long as they don't "retcon" the last ep of S2 and COE (and preferable kill Gwen instead) I'm not interested. Besides I don't see evidence that he means the originell team. It's just "the team" in the article. He could as well mean the MD-Team. Or the CoE-Team without Tosh and Owen. And character based eps could mean a whole episode about annyoing Gwen f.e. I will not put my hopes to high as long as RTD is involved. Also God alone know when this will be happen. All sound pretty vague to me, if the eps aren't even written. I rather squee about John's new show - if I ever can get this damn magic player work.

I like certain scenes and characteres in it. Others, not so much. So overall, it wasn't exactly what I had expected - especially with all the interviews telling us before this would be the best Torchwood they ever had done. That title still goes to CoE for me. Then again, of course it would be hard to top that ( ... )

Wohoo indeed! But let's hope it actually lives up to expectations. So far I have seen only excitement everywhere. The fans are still out there, eager for more.
