John Barrowman fans in the USA needed

You are out there somewhere right? Please forgive me, I know jedi-harkness has posted about this before but there are only two weeks left till I will be in the studio to see John Barrowman record his new CD, and apparently he is still waiting for the fans in the USA to join into the pledging. *sigh* If only he'd done this back when I still had some money - being unemployed for nearly 2 years sucks for so many reasons!

I'll see if I can pass on the info to some people I used to work with who I got hooked on his singing. :)

Aw sorry to hear that :( Not even the cheap download instead of the CD? I really hope your economy will pick up soon. I have a lot of frustrated friends in the US.

Passing the info on is just as important though and will help a lot as well! What he needs is a TV show in the US where he sings, I saw comments on some of his Twitter videos where people were surprised that Malcolm Merlyn had such a good voice. They simply don't know about the musical career.

Unfortunately, not likely at this point, but if I can figure out a way, I definitely will. :)

I wish he'd managed to get on Glee when he was talking about it a couple years back - at least maybe he'd have gotten some buzz for his singing that way.

Indeed, I already had forgotten about his wish to be on "Glee". Too bad it did not work out. Not sure if they couldn't find a place for him, or not fit into his schedule. And it's still on, maybe not all hopes are lost yet? He said he would be in LA soon but I expect it to be for more "Scandal". I have no idea where "Glee" is filmed. We haven't seen the New York season in Germany yet.

I am also still waiting for the ABC show "Sing your face off", it has been filmed and everything and was supposed to air in January. No idea what happened there. They won't just let it fanish would they? I don't know if he got to sing in there himself, but at least it would set him up as a showmaster and show his real personality, as that is what I fell in love with when I found all those interviews and morning shows on youtube. You just gotta love him for his laugh and cheerfulness and also speaking seriously when needed.

I pledged for the signed cd awhile back...too poor to get more unfortunately.

Pledging for just the CD is more than fine. It's apparently those that he seeks to get more wide-spread. Apparently so far the major of the pledging seems to come from the UK, and I know there are lots of fans in the US. Not everyone might know about this yet.

So you can also help with sharing the link with your friends!

I think he needs to understand that the exchange rates make pledging a little crazy for American fans. I am not spending that much for an autograph!

And I don't particularly care about getting the download. His voice is great, but the choices he makes on his CDs are awful -- I use them to help me fall asleep on planes.

Yeah, that might be one of the reasons, maybe someone should tweet that to him, as you are surely not the only one feeling like this. I know of a friend who was waiting if there were special US rates, but then again, they can't set up different rates for EVERY country. That would be way too complicated ( ... )
