In a 2022 "AMA",Carter Bays shows he is still bitter people dont like his terrible ending

Just recently i found out about a "Ask Me Anything" Carter Bays made on Reddit in 2022. Well,some of his answers about the ending,and about Barney,shows how much he is still butthurt by the fact that people hates his AU ending,and that people loves Barney more than his self-insert Ted. These are some of the most hilarious parts

they deserve the hatred. i literally cannot rewatch the show even casually because of how insulting the finale was. THE ENTIRE LAST SEASON revolved around barney and robin's wedding, and how ted is supposed to be OVER her, so naturally they retconned EVERY SINGLE CHARACTERS' character development back to Season 1: Ted is obsessed with Robin (but gets to have had his kid fantasy with the Mother who was shoved aside for Aunt Robin, even more weird that the kids want them together), Robin chooses her career over friendship, Barney is a manwhore womanizer (but also somehow a father which is even MORE insulting cuz Robin is infertile and he's definitely knocked up loads of women before so why does he care now?), Lily and Marshall are at-ends over their careers/relationship. Literally poleaxed every single character, and in retrospect I dislike all of their characters even more now (except for Tracy)

Yeah. Honestly with time i managed to apprecciate the rewatches,but the Failnale..i never rewatch those 2 episodes of course. The real ending for me will always be 7.22,with just the addition of the meeting scene between Ted/Tracy at the station,and voilà,that would have been a perfect finale.
