I've been having trouble sleeping lately too. I blame it utterly on the heat. If I can practically swim through the air, I am damn well entitled to sleep whenever I can get it. (If only my mother shared this view.)

No offense to you, my physicist friend. I never achieved the level of physics nerd, but I was a rather monumental mathematics nerd back in the day, and I did take one year of college physics.
