Nothing beats a Sunday full of pirates

I'm still exhausted from the Long Island Pirate Festival, hosted by Ye Pyrate Brotherhood. Six of the Crimson Pirates were able to head out to the Long Island Maritime Museum and I, for one, had a blast. (My sweetie ladyjoust was teaching yesterday morning, so she missed the festival, and I missed her.) We saw picoland and fjordhopper, which is always a double pleasure ( Read more... )

Speaking for Pirates for Sail, not only was it a blast performing with you all, it was a hell of an honor. I hope we have a chance to do it again, and we look forward to seeing you all at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in September. We'll all have a pint (or two) together, and you all can autograph my Crimson Pirate CDs! :)

P.S. We'd have killed for a 5 hour round trip. We had 6-8 hours each way, due to Long Island traffic coming in and the Delaware Memorial Bridge being closed going back. Next time we steal a ship and sail to the bloody festival!
