boy. i sure do like food. i used my crockpot more last week than i have in over a year. i'm loving it with this cold weather. i really like putting a bunch of stuff in it and then being able to work or go somewhere for a long period of time and not worrying if its going to burn or boil over. i am finishing up my last cup of potato soup from the ( Read more... )

Yeah crockpot! We've got a great veggie crockpot cookbook... Big fans of the chicken stock as well. Those roasters are SUCH a good deal. I mean, that's like 4-5 meals worth of chicken there, for a whole family (including the stock)...

Word. Hey, we're comin' up for x-mas if you hadn't heard. We'll probably be in town the weekend after x-mas. Spread the word. (You in Iowa then maybe I guess...)

yummm.. we had a chicken dinner, chicken pot pie, and now chicken noodle soup! the stock is great for making homemade gravy too!

are you likely to be in the area around the new year? it would be nice to see you all!

We'll almost certainly be in E. Lansing, if you all want to go there. My parents are in Texas, so we'll have the house to ourselves. We'll be having a get together there at some point during the holidays for all the Lansing kids in town, and we've toyed with doing it on New Years...

That cream of potato soup sounds really really good. I just might have to make it. Crock pot for me always means chili. What's the secret ingredients in Cathy's chili? Cinnamon and nutmeg.

It was fun hanging out with you and Bryan the other night! We should definitely meet up at Dark Horse some weekend.

It was fun hanging out with you all! The Dark Horse sounds like a good idea. It would be especially nice to ride the motorcycle there, but that would have to wait until spring.

Yum soup! Actually that's the only thing I've ever made in the crock pot, but I love to do it.
