Okay, so....I know that I'm not the most wanky person out there, and this is NOT what I intend to start when I'm posting this, it's just that I think people should have the right to post their opinions on things, and this is just mine.

I actually read all that and feel quite proud. Also, I agree with you. The rules just confused me cuz they made me wonder what the community was actually about if none of that was it. Aren't we supposed to post crap like that in there?? If not, then whuuuuuuuut?! I dunno.

Yeah, I think they kinda sprung the rules on people, and not everyone understands fully what is going on.

I mean, I am one of those whackos, but I can see how other people might not like the new rules, and I think there should be a better explanation for them.

I think that's what they were trying to do, but they just didn't explain it properly, which is what a lot of people are asking for.

That community is fun, it just gets a lot of crap from the "srs bzns" people in fandom. It sucks that those rules are in existence, though. o__O It makes no sense for a capslock comm to not allow manips especially!

I think you are allowed manips, you just need a reason or context for them. And I agree about the funness of it.

We don't disallow manips- we are just asking that the manips have some thought put into them instead of posting every time you put Jensen's head onto a turkey or whatever. It is getting old.

I am of a differing mind from you, but I can also see what you're saying, here. Please understand that I am sincerely not privy to any "inside" info or anything like that. I can only give you my understanding/impression of what's been going on the last few weeks. And also please understand that as much as I would never speak out of turn to anyone you mention here, I also respect the thoughts and feelings of others, ok

Look, I know that you thing whatever you're doing is "right" or whatever, but I think it's really unfair that it's only the people on the top who are making the decisions, and they're not letting anyone else have a chance to contribute anything. And Hedgie (or however you put it) OBVIOUSLY is orchestrating a big part of it, if not everything.

I'm not in this to be "right" or "wrong." I'm in this to help give you some perspective on what I think is going on. There were obviously some problems that several people had expressed some concerns about, and the mods were responding to that.

I guess to give you some idea - and at the risk of talking about things that happen in flocked posts - I do know that tpanda was trawling around Hedgie's posts and letting many of us know that she agreed with us. I know Hedgie is proud to have all the mods on her flist, but I don't think that translates into her controlling them or anything. If anything, she just motivated them to do something. And I really agree with all the rules. I'm sorry if you don't or you think you can't be a part of the comm anymore.

If it makes you more comfortable to think that the mods are being unreasonable, so be it. I just don't agree with that sentiment. I hope that this hasn't soured you on the comm.

I'm not saying that the rules had no reasonable grounds, but it would have been nice if the information would have been out in the open instead of just taking place behind the scenes in journals and such. If people knew that others felt there was a problem with what they were doing beforehand, they would have had a better time accepting the new rules and wouldn't be as confused as they are right now.

I haven't even begun to sour on the comm! But I do have to say that I'm worried about the unity of it.
