oh god how horrendous. I think they should have given you guys the day off - were you able to do any work?

I don't think they were expecting it to be quite that bad. We often go through the mangle with public events, being positioned where we are.

And no, not much work was done. Most of us battled through but to be honest, it was horribly distracting - simply because it was way more interesting than work!

That is an incredible sight! I am so glad I don't work in the city center anymore. Ps hope you are ok.

It was an incredible sight, I am sorely disappointed that I even forgot my camera phone yesterday, let alone my actual nice camera.

Still, yes, I'm fine - it was intimidating more than anything but they were mostly just having fun and you can't really begrudge people that.

Yeah I walked up from work through picadilly to Oldham St, all of which was completely packed with drunken Scotsmen.

What department have they gone to, do you know?
