I'll happily take the blame for that. ;) Though Silent Hill should get the credit for providing so much good ol' fashioned nightmare fuel to work with. Thanks for the comment!
Oh. I've never seen a SH/Spn crossover before, but I was just hoping and yay! That was so very Silent Hill but you stayed true to Sam and I loved it. Thank you for writing this!
I'm SHOCKED that there aren't more Silent Hill/SPN crossovers out there. ladysisyphus' story is the only one I've ever found!
Of course I tried to stay true to Sam's character. :) Henry is such an utter tool for 90% of the game, and he gets about as much personality and character development as a bag of rocks. It'd be way more fun to see Sam and Dean take on apartment 302. ;)

Agreed, agreed, agreed. That was probably my #1 complaint about SH4--that we know next to nothing about Henry, and he never really developed as a character. Compared to him, Walter Sullivan was far more interesting and dynamic.
Heh, I almost wish SH4 had a "Born From a Wish"-esque side story where you got to play as Walter. Would have made up for the game's crappy gameplay, lack of a joke ending, annoying second act, personality-less main character...
I've tried to give each of these undead stories a different style so they don't feel repetitive, and this one was going for as much description, mood, and atmosphere as possible. Glad you liked it, and thanks for the comment! :)
I don't really follow Supernatural, and I've never had the faintest inclination to, but I'm always a fan of your horror fiction. Good story!
References to SH4:
South Ashfield Heights Apartment 302 The "Don't go out!" door 19/21 and the 21 sacraments the bloody handprints on the hallway wall the two-headed baby monsters The hole in the bathroom the hauntings--the clock, the TV, the radio, the cat in the refridgerator
Wow, I didn't think anyone but Supernatural fans would bother to read this, so I didn't bother pimping it on Sharteshane or anything. Glad it entertained, even if you didn't know the characters. ;)
Oh, those are all references to SH4. But they're not the hidden ones. So no cookie yet! (HINT: THe hidden references are all in the same vein, and there's two in the second-last paragraph. If you can find them, the rest should be easy.)
And I thought the beta version was good, this is even better. The tone's set just right, and nice details. Now, "hurry the hell up" and write some more. I need inspiration.
J wants me to demand compensation for inspiring you. Thankfully, I'm ignoring him. ;) You betaed these fantastically, after all.
Tag me when I jump on AIM and we'll see what kind of inspiration we can find for your Princess Sammy and DoppelGris. If you want any betaing done, just say the word.
Here's your compensation for inspiring me, a BOOB-shot of Aeris for J! That should shut him up.
Princess Sammy and DoppelGris are giving me too much trouble. Emotions are strong in that scene but I can't allow myself to go OOC, so everything has to be SUBTLE. I'll see when you're on AIM. You're never there! :O
