I'm glad you liked it. I don't know, lately, I've been thinking of Sirius as a little more hesitant, a little less brash - maybe even a little scared and vulnerable sometimes.

Agreed. Sirius isn't all bravado. And Remus is often played up as incredibly conservative and reserved, even as a teenage boy. I think he's a little more wicked than that!

What I love about your fic is that it captures the boyishness of both of them and reminds the reader that they are not one dimensional characters (i.e. Sirius the Aggressor and Remus the Timid Mouse).

Oh, Remus is a LOT more wicked than that. There's one line in PoA that I think really showed it. When he's talking to Peter, he says that Peter should have known that if Voldemort didn't kill him, they would. He's so blunt about it - so matter of fact. I think a lot of his strength, the force of his character, gets hidden by his kindness, but it's still there

I met him at a horror convention years ago in NY. It was before Army of Darkness came out. He was probably the funniest man I've ever met. Just HILARIOUS. I was so in love with Bruce that I didn't spend the whole con following Clive Barker around trying to convince him that he wasn't so gay he couldn't make out with me (yeah, that was my initial plan).

Oh, and At Swim fan! such a lovely book. I was just getting picked on yesterday for the 3 copies of it on my bookshelf :D But really, Jim Mack IS my beautiful boy of the world and I love him too well. Years ago, I wrote a 100 word drabble that was HP/At Swim cross over of the most cracktastic kind. I just thought of it and reread it. Damn, I honestly am insane.
