You would think that being literally a computer program designed for combat, Gale would be an extremely light sleeper. And you'd be right.

For the most part.

But somehow the virus had managed to slip Michael into his bed without noticing, and he had slept on deeply as Michael sprawled out over him, stealing the blankets.

But it was cold in the Embryon base, and eventually it was the shivering that woke Gale up. He reached to pull the blankets more firmly about himself, and encountered warm skin instead. He awoke instantly and opened his eyes, Vayu roaring a challenge as his heart rate increased. The hand that was bound to Michael's was trapped under the other boy's body and had gone numb, so he wasn't immediately aware that they were bound together.

He caught the intruder around the neck with his free arm and gave a warning squeeze before his eyes were fully open. "What is the meaning of this?" he hissed into Michael's ear.

Now generally, when Michael shares a bed with another person, his wake up calls are decidedly a lot more pleasant (usually something along the lines of a blowjob unless it's his sister because then that really isn't the case because that's just disgusting).

Clearly, that was not meant to be that morning.

Michael went from fast asleep to wide awake in his fastest time yet, one hand immediately rising to pry away the arm blocking his breathing.

"I should be asking you that, asshole." he gritted out from between clenched teeth.

Gale's arm loosened slightly when he recognized the voice and connected it to the blue hair tumbled over his pillow.

"Michael Trinity?" he asked. "Why are you in my room?"

His arm was loose enough now to permit Michael to breathe, but Gale had leverage and he wasn't quite ready to let go yet. He was easily able to hang on despite Michael's prying fingers.

"Gale, what--" he questioned, as he had a chance to match the voice and the speech patterns. He stopped struggling, but didn't let go of Gale's arm. "Your room?" He took a quick glance around the room, immediately recognising it for what it was.

"Gale. Why the fuck am I in your room?"
