Thank you so much! I love that dress. It's sort of from a tank top pattern, but I lengthened the skirt part and completely redesigned how the skirt is attached to the bodice. My review of the pattern over at pattern review is here, if you're interested.
If you want to use knit, you might want to find a different pattern. This one is designed for wovens (although it could probably be altered for knits), and I'm not fond of the pattern itself. It took a lot of redrafting to make it the way I like it. It'd be a good guide, though. :) Do you sew? I noticed you're following my sewing blog, and I can't imagine it's that interesting without actually sewing! :D
