I'm really intrigued by her take on epic fantasy. It sounds like that would make for some interesting reading, provided I could keep from giggling at the prose.
I love Robin Schone and hate Thea Devine. I cut Schone a lot of slack because she takes chances--some work, some don't. And I think she actually has an underlying theme to her novels (I don't think it's pedophelia/homophobia, by the way). It's all about female sexual empowerment and education for her and I give her credit for at least HAVING an underlying major theme in her writing which is unusual for this genre.
Shone's Scandalous Lovers is one of my top 10 all time favorite books. Yes, the Lady's Tutor has that homosexual storyline, but if you think about when that book originally came it it was actually pretty original back then to go that route.
Admittedly, Scandalous Lovers is a bit different than her other books. It's highly feminist (yay) and the hero/heroine are older than your average hero/heroines.
