I've always preferred 70s funk and soul for the gym. Dunno what would work for treadmill

Hahaha! I was just gonna pop in here to say that I like Rufus/Parliament/Aretha/Stevie Wonder/Sly & the Family Stone at the gym. All hail the funk!

Of course, I only walk on the treadmill (girls with boobs as big as mine don't run unless they are being chased by tigers). So mid-tempo music works best for me. If you're a runner, you're gonna need to delve into techno or something....

They've been playing Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears on the radio here. You should check it out. Very James Brown. (It's on sale at Amazon for $5 for the whole album. I'm going to download it tonight.)

I don't run, but I do walk very fast. So, funk is prob a little too slow, while a lot of techno is too fast. Usually dance music tempo falls somewhere in the middle there.

I was going to download some music while at work today for the gym this afternoon, but the firewall is preventing me from doing that, I think. Grr.
