I've never been to Bonnaroo, even though it's close and always has a great line-up, 'cause ... well ... it's outside in Tennessee in June. 'Nuff said ( Read more... )

I saw Andrew Bird last week and I was so bored I
offered to paint the bathrooms at the club.

Really? I have a friend that LOVES him. Saw him here last year. missv says the same thing. Maybe it's a girl thing.

I like some of his material. Maybe it was my mood and the shitty venue. Oh, and the funeral dirge-esque material courtesy of the opening band didn't help. I thought their set would never end.

We've talked about going for a while but crowds make me so cranky, I don't think I could stand being immersed in that much humanity for days on end. (Especially since Phish in on the bill....which is certain to attract way more Deadheads than I'd be able to stomach.)

But the lineups are always SO tempting! We saw Al Green in concert a few years ago and he was simply awesome. My face hurt from smiling so hard. And, unlike turtlehead, the last time I saw Andrew Bird was fabulous. I was 40 weeks pregnant, sore, bloated, and miserable but he made me jump up and dance. Go see Bon Iver, if you can. He's great.

The four day will prob feel like forever by the time it's over. I may not ever want to go back, but I'm gonna give it a shot.

I don't have any jam band cds, but I do love a good live jam band show. I think I will enjoy Phish.

I know I've heard Bon Iver. They play it on the indie station here, but I can't recall what song and if I like it.

There are probably a lot more than 19 I will be excited about by the time it gets here. I need to look up some more online and give them a listen.

You don't like the Ting Tings?

Who is Jo Koy?

He's a comedian. His main shtick is about his young son, who nicknamed his penis his "ting ting." The way he tells stories about his kid is effing hilarious.

I don't see Citizen Cope bolded! Great stuff.
I saw him live (as opposed to dead) about a year
ago and he was fucking excellent. Check him out.
