I am so with you on this one - by far the best episode this year. I'd really been missing the good old-fashioned romps, so this was long overdue. (And I would definitely watch a Vastra/Jenny/Strax spinoff. I loved the first third where it was just then - but then I was always a fan of Doctor-lite episodes, even Love & Monsters.)

You're not wrong that Mrs Gillyflower was the most black-and-white villain in a long time. Interesting you didn't mention Ada, though - I thought she was a really great character. (Also, she was played by Rachael Stirling, who is Diana Rigg's real life daughter.)
