I thought I was the only one! (This may be a first - we agree on something, and the internet disagrees.) I agree completely that this felt way too rushed; the third act in particular fizzled completely. Like last week, the resolution was way, way too easy. You're right that it probably needed a double episode to do it justice; previous "stranded with a monster" episodes like Beast Below/Satan Pit and the Almost People one have worked much better that way, allowing them to flesh out their supporting characters. (Midnight is the exception, of course.) The side characters here, for me, never became more than Liam Cunningham, Tobias Menzies, and David Warner, all of whom I love (and all of whom I had a lot of fun with, but still, that was just because it was them. Their characters were nothing).

I don't know. I'm a little disappointed in this season so far. Which is weird, because I'm loving Clara a whole lot - she's my favourite companion since, well, Donna. I just feel the stories need to measure up a bit more. Here's hoping things

No I was decidedly underwhelmed. Next week looks fun though!

I felt today's episode was...OK.

Not good, not great, but OK.

I will have to say that Clara was amazing. I loved that she showed bravery not in a brash stupid sort of way but in doing things she knew needed done even though she was scared stiff. I wish new companions would get more moments like that
