Farewell to the Shadowlands.

So last week I took up the challenge to try and read all seven of the Narnian Chronicles in a week, one a day. Well I can safely say that I succeded, having finished the Last Battle a few hours ago. Now I've decided to try and put together all my thoughts to see if they make any sense.

Further up and Further in. )

thinking, christianity, fiction

Nicely summed up. I feel nearly as if I've been living in Narnia all week. I noticed some of the same things that you did.
I agree that it is rather irritating when other books are compared to Narnia simply because they are fantasy and have(usually rather forced) christian themes or allegory.
The 'taking the adventure' concept has been very helpful to me in day to day life, especially going to work early in the morning.
So indeed Further up and Further In! Looking forward to the day when we'll say: "Farewell to the Shadowlands!"

Nice summary; you linked the stories to the lessons and the quotes really well. And those are some of the best quotes because of the way they can be applied to our Christian lives. I also really like what you said about the air of Narnia and the Holy Spirit.
