Oh wow, this episode blew me away and I sat for about 5 minutes at the end with my jaw hanging open thinking "Cas, how could you...."

I love your insight into this episode, and I hope like anything that Cas learns his lesson without everybody paying too heavy a price, after all, while not admitting everything he has done wrong, or shouldering the responsability for it, he has started down the path.. I just hope that his God is a forgiving one (you hear me Sara, these boys deserve a break) and that he will forgive his Angel and show him how to put things right. Because sometimes we just need our parents to come along and fix it... we have learnt our lesson and we want things to be ok again. Childish I know, but I think we've all been there.

I'm looking forward to these last 2 episodes with a bucket load of trpidation, It's only that I know there will be another season that I'm not completely fatalistic.

Thanks for coming and for commenting!

I think there's still a chance for Castiel to change course, and I hope he finds it - he has started down the path by admitting his error, but he needs to keep owning his actions, not putting the burden on God to tell him what he already knows. Sigh.

I'm very afraid about tonight. I have some guesses about where things might go; I hope some of them are wrong!

Your observations on Cas's obligation, which he neglected, to be a leader for his fellow angels, really put the episode in a different light for me! I always appreciate the insight you put forth in your commentaries because they make me see more layers than I realized were there!

Oh man I've said this before and I'll probably say it again: You are my favourite person in this fandom. *w*

Your meta/commentary/essays are my favourite thing to read. Ever. Your insight into things is just so well thought out and well articulated I can barely stand it.

Never chaaange!

Thank you very much! I'm very glad you enjoy my stuff; I definitely enjoy writing it, even as it makes me yank my hair out! (That's why I keep my fur so very short ... *grin*)

This episode was amazing and heartbreaking as the best SPN episodes are. I thought the constant jumping back and forth during the narrative would be confusing at first but it was easy to follow especially seeing previous scenes in a new light. It often takes a few viewings to put together small important plot references to past events. I think it is ironic but very true that as SPN has gone on it is clear that hard drinking, womanizing, apparent con artist Dean Winchester is the moral center of the show. John, Sam and now Castiel have all suffered from the same sins as Lucifer, stubborn pride.
