The Curious Case of Dean Winchesterjaniebee64November 6 2009, 19:45:52 UTC
Glad to see your review. I look for it each week, and this one did not disappoint. This episode wasn't one of Supernatural's best, but I truly loved Jared's portrayal of Sam in this episode. We are really seeing him grow and become more independent of Dean each episode. Of course, Jared nails it everytime. Bobby's despair and feelings of loss came through, and maybe Dean and Sam are beginning to see some of what he's feeling. I'm sure we will see more of that in future episodes. I absolutely loved Chad Everett portrayal of old Dean. He is one of my favorite actors from way on back. Yes, I'm aging myself because I loved watching him on Medical Center, too. Can you believe that was in the 70's? He is still a good looking guy even at his age. Perfect portrayal of old Dean. Look forward to the next 3 episodes. I think we are in for some real shockers before Kripke and co. leave us hanging on that proverbial cliff!!
I'm sorryyou had problems! Thank you for still taking the time to write this review!
I agree with that the tensions between the brothers aren't all resolved. I had the same thought at Dean's reaction when Sam wants to go out - the mistrust isn't entirely gone.
Sam's poker game was a delight. It is really great when you compare Sam from Mystery Spot and Sam from this episode - he did learn something! Go, Sammy!
I haven't noticed the changes in Bobby's house. Sometimes, it's like I was blind, but fortunately you're here!
Elsewhere I have seen (and agree with) the speculation that turning back Bobby's clock another year would not necessarily have fixed his legs. It's not an age-related problem, such as Dean's heart trouble (which is predicated on his history of abusing his arteries), but the result of trauma that occurred outside of his natural aging process. So I'm not sure that the year would have helped - though it wouldn't have hurt to try, and that should have been considered.
Ah don't be sorry. The internet is just a hobby, you owe your fans nothing. It is just a pleasure to read your reviews whenever you post them. I did enjoy this episode a lot and I was really pleased with how well Chad Everett played Dean. I hope he will show at a convention someday. Don't really have much to say accept your analysis always makes me enjoy the show more

Otherwise, WORD, as always.
