My only question is, when this is done, how can the Winchesters ever return to "normalcy"? Will they continue this lifestyle? Will all the demons disappear? Where can this finish?

I don't think there could ever be a return for the Winchesters to anything approximating what we would consider normalcy, but I could see the brothers realizing that there is a heaven as well as a hell and that they have a shot at it. I could also see the brothers, even as they continued to hunt, modifying how they did it in order to have more human contacts in their lives once they get most of the currently escaped demons back where they belong.
That said, I'll admit that I have no clue where Kripke plans to take the story. I'm perfectly content to watch wherever he takes it because I trust that the trip will be worth it no matter what the final destination turns out to be, because it's the journey that really matters. It's life and choice and how we make the trip and whom we meet along the way ...

In a lot of ways, I think this was the best episode of the season.

Let's say that Dean broke me completely. Especially because of what could happen next.

At the moment, I'm desperately overwhelmed with the belief that the Sam and Dean I know and love are gone forever - but hey. If there'll be peace when we're done, then I'm happy.
Thank you :)

I don't believe that the brothers we know and love are gone. I do believe that we'll go through dark times and hard changes right along with them, but I can't help but believe that in the end, the qualities we've loved in them from the start will triumph.
Hence my tagline, from Blue October's "For My Brother" - Whenever you're dark inside, don't let go.
