Wealdburganiht / May Day

I held my observance of Wealdburganiht last night.  Pre-ritual, I spent an hour or so sitting out on the rocks along the harbor waiting for dusk.  (The city closes this little neighborhood park just after dusk, so I figured I'd sit 'til then and then return home for the ritual).  It was windy, and I watched as several banks of clouds blew in as I ( Read more... )

Thanks, Siggy! I figure since it's really not all that often that I gift the Gods (usually only on Holy Days/Tides or on the rare special occasion, whereas I'm much more likely to gift my ancestors and the wights on a more regular basis), when I do so I feel I should really consider what I'm giving and try my best to make it something a little special, something I think they'd enjoy. And, I myself enjoy the process of considering and acquiring the gifts!

Glad you liked the Wealdburg leóþ. I'm pretty happy with it, although as with everything I write there always seems to be a word here or there I'd like to "tweak" a bit. : ) As you already know, I've finally made my way through the GFS forums to the Bards' Guild! Hooray!
