Eight months later
It is almost August, and I am thinking about my failed new year's resolution to post to LJ every day in 2010. Tabetha is my only LJ friend that is still writing regularly..
With delivering lunches for Country Deli and all of my bar/club/restaurant duties at The Pit, I am working an average of about 90 hours each week. My apartment is a disaster. ( Read more... )

You work entirely too much. Are you enjoying your life? When do you get to enjoy yourself? With a schedule like that, I don't see how it's possible. :-( Are you raking in the dough? Or are you working that much because even 90 hours a week doesn't quite pay the bills?
I know you probably would have done this if it was an option, but I just have to ask, because I'm logical like that... Have you explored other employment options? Within a realistic realm of options (this does not include opening up your own music store! *wink*), what other things would you like to do?
Is the Outer Banks really that awesome? How about moving to a more metropolitan area (that would probably be closer to your most loved venues anyway). Norfolk, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Atlanta, D.C. Anywhere but THERE! Unless you own your own business, it's so hard to survive on the OBX. After almost 20 years now, you must have realized this already!
It's just sad to hear about you slaving away and still not getting anywhere.
