Uh, it's the middle book in a series.

Also, fair warning: LOTS OF SEX AND VIOLENCE, often at the same time, and rarely in a happy way.

Hmmmm. Can I read Books 1 & 2 first? Are they for sale somewhere?

I've got a LOT of free time on my hands right now - overseeing a v. boring project at work. I read five novels last week.
