I love these posts. They show you settling into a place where you're happier with your handling of situations and feeling more empowered, and that is awesome.
But they're also really foreign to me. I know what it is to doubt my handling of situations, I think everyone does, but this specific kind of doubt has never really been a thing for me. So posts like this are also educational about something I don't really grok natively, and I think that's important.
These sort of situations very rarely happen to me. And I never feel fear, or any of those things that other women feel--I just feel ANNOYANCE.
What I am proud of is learning how to end these encounters faster, and without having to send someone to the hospital. Three guys in the hospital in my lifetime was enough. I'm getting too old for that crap.
Yup, I've always found these kind of turn-downs the best. No one gets overly upset, and everything is nice and friendly - not that it happens to me that often any more. Getting old, getting old... :p
