Gakked from mekkavandexter. Appears to be a "check off what you've seen" list, with a notation that if you've seen 85 or more, you have no life.

I'm thinking maybe it just means you're older than a teenager. Most of these I saw in the theater.

High Tension is incredibly well-done splatter-horror, though not, not, not for the faint of heart (it opens with a character getting a blowjob from a severed head and things go downhill from there). The director also did the remake of The Hills Have Eyes, but I liked High Tension much better.

I'm not sure it was in theatres in the US; it's in French.

I don't do horror movies. I've seen maybe five in my whole life, and none of those in the last 20 years. I even resisted seeing Aliens, until my friends made clear that it's action and violence and tension, but not horror and creepy the way the first one was.

I would think that's normal. I was kind of surprised I'd seen so few, actually. Replace all those horror movies with more action-adventure, comedy, musical, or classic films, and I'd have a lot more, too.

Why would I?

Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Chris Farley... These are comedians whom I don't find funny. I don't think I've ever seen any of their movies.

Man I was up to 85 by the time I hit "X-Men" on the list.

It's kind of an interesting variety of movies. I wonder what criteria they're pulled from? I thought maybe box office gross, but there's a fair amount of indie horror there; I thought maybe "films categorized as 'cult'", but there are a lot of chick flicks there. Most of them seem to be made after 1980 or so, but then Wizard of Oz is there. So I have no idea.
