I actually had that happen to me once, with an electric drill. The internal gears sucked in part of my beard.
The good news was: I let go of the trigger before my beard hairs got pulled out of my chin. The bad news was: After I pulled the hairs out of the gears, they were curled into circles. The good news was: The gears were coated in 120 weight HD wheel bearing grease, and now, so was my beard. It smelled heavenly!

It's rumored that if you get up close to me, you can still smell the wheel bearing grease, but that's just speculation...
