You're not supposed to have favourite students, but show me a teacher who doesn't. On the most basic level, it's difficult not to prefer a student who is always on time, hands work in promptly, smiles and works to the best of their ability over a student who is late with everything, lazy, surly and has pitiful excuses about why something didn't get

Y'know, we all take it for granted that students should be tested to see if they've absorbed what the school has supposedly taught them, why is it such a stretch to imagine an independent audit of the school, to see if it's really teaching what it claims?

Sure, the accreditation process supposedly addresses this, but I doubt the independence part. In my perfect world, the students themselves would be an ongoing part of it. It still begs the question, though, of what should be taught.
