Yes, you're a geek. You're right though, educational too. I didn't even know that's where the ibuprofen name came from, but the pics are all cool.

This is fascinating, and so was the previous set. Thank you! I also take this pain medicine that you can just buy in the US called naproxen sodium (Aleve), but I haven't needed any of the stuff at the bottom besides morphine.

Cool - this is really interesting.

I hope this is as fun to do as it is to read. I didn't know about the difference between 'opiate' and 'opioid' or that codeine and morphine were very similar in structure.

Pethidine is evil, I do not understand why in the UK we still use it because it's so fucking evil. They gave it to kim when she had her trapped gallstone removed and it did nothing except make her hyper hours - she is totally ok with hospitals so just let them get on with it not realising it was supposed to make her forgetful or drowsy. She was signing like a maniac when she came back from theatre then her short term memory was shot for weeks.

Buscopan is very cool - we discovered it by accident over the counter.

Pethidine makes me sleepy. I wasn't amused to be given it the morning after I'd had a general anasethic when I was feeling actually awake for the first time without being told it was going to make me sleepy. But grr to giving it to people who are likely to have horrible side effects from it.

So did someone have a reason to think that buscopan would be useful if they tweaked it like that? I am fascinated.

Overall these are really fun, and I too take naproxen sodium (for cramps) and wouldn't mind seeing it if you have another drawing session later.
