I haven't updated my blog(s) nearly as much as I used to (or should). I've simply been busy--math class, working anywhere between 35 and 45 hours a week, fretting over everything from finances to where the hell my other stocking went...my brain has just overloaded, and...yeah. So, for the sake of getting some of this unnecessary bullshit out of ( Read more... )

job, math, politics, computer, school, bitchfest, work, "waah sept alpha!", body modification

Finite math is, for lack of a better description, the math of gambling. No, really. Probability experiments and the like make up the majority of the material.

I miss the forums in general, but...yeah. Since political shit ended up in the SD often enough, it probably would have made tracking the news a lot easier. There are new forums up, and I think I have an account there, but I haven't checked them since I found them and the link was stashed on my old laptop's favorites tab. I...think I can find it? Maybe. =X

Damn. You *have* had a lot going on. Gods, I hate math. I'm so glad I took it back when I could still do simple addition. I think I'm 99.9% right brained, now.

Have you been to Healthwise Foods? They have a lot of healthy, organic personal hygiene products, maybe something that wouldn't irritate your skin? That really sucks. I feel your pain on the acne thing. I still feel like a 13-yr-old some days. :P Not just because of the breakouts, but you know...

Prop 8 made me sad too. I'm actually helping another student get the AUM Gay Straight Alliance up and running, since all the MGLA-ers seem to have graduated away. Might as well start working on tolerance right here in Montgomery, Lord knows we need it.

Math is the evil that stalks art majors through the hallways, waiting to beat them up and take their spare brain cells.

Actually...I haven't thought about Healthwise. I knew it was an organic grocery store, but I didn't even think they might have skin care products as well. Ah, well. I bought some Burt's pomegranate shampoo and peach skin scrub the other day. It's doing alright for my hair, and my skin is looking a little better (yeah, no new breakouts in the past two days is "looking better" in my book D=), so I'll stick with this for the time being.

Oh, hey, that's a good idea. The last time I heard anything out of the GSA was when I went through student orientation (ha!) when I transferred to AUM. It seems like a good idea. Will there be room for bi, genderqueer, and/or asexual students as well?

Oh yes. Donna (the other student, the main one, really) and I are both committed to making it a place for *everyone* to come together (GLBT and straight and everyone in between). She has a daughter who is bi, so she is definitely sensitive to that group. I too have friends who are bi and have been kind of looked down on by gay people because they weren't "real" or whatever, I dunno. People are silly. :P
