Not geek related at all, but we've still managed to elude one another despite living in the same city! This should be remedied!

Yes. It should. I shall now go and look for an email address so we can plan a meetup.

I'll have a look at thingbox but I can't make any promises as I'm not usually a fan of such types of sites - I'm not even on Facebook...

Hi! Please excuse the out-of-the-blue...

thekumquat suggests that you might be able to advise me on setting up a temporary induction loop in a large venue? I've never done this before, so I have no feeling for what "works" and what doesn't.

We are a theatre with an auditorium 35m deep and 25m wide, we have overhead, radio and handheld mics in use. The acoustic sound system is pole-mounted. I'm trying to find advice on physical setup, electronic setup (e.g. whether I need to bias or EQ for the loop) and anything which could make the system more usable or useful.

*meeps hopefully!*

OK, I've just asked my partner who knows more of this stuff than I do - she says there are "official specs" out there but she no longer has the file (in that annoying way that you never save stuff and then can't find it again kind of way ( ... )
