You know something is wrong

When you are in the middle of a store, looking at clothes, start hearing an old U2 song, 'With or Without You' and have to make yourself not start bawling ( Read more... )

One meal? Oh dear. Eat something!

What is that they say about family? Can't live with them, can't kill them. :D If you can't take your family and you can find a way to get up to New Jersey, I'll find a way to squeeze in one more--if you don't mind sleeping amongst my DJ equipment in the spare room. :)

(In exchange, maybe I'll go to Mississippi instead)

Regarding an earlier post of yours...I remember Miami airport security...they pulled me over too, don't remember why. However, I did feel better there than in Newark.

God, I haven't been through Newark in what seems like forever now. I know the last time I went through the line was long, but at least I didn't get pulled to the side. I got pulled to the side in Miami when I was wearing *sandals* and carrying *one* bag. It must have been the scary makeup. :)

Thanks for the offer. :) If things turn around for me, don't be surprised if I show up on your doorstep one day with a bag. Maybe just an overnight bag, but you know what I mean.

Don't worry- I ate something. :)

The Newark line is ridiculous. It's not enough to merely stand on line to check in...you have to check in, put your bags on the belt, take your bags off the belt, and then stand on another line to have them check your baggage before they deem it acceptable. To be fair, the line does move quickly, but come on.

I think something in my bag tipped them off, but again I don't remember what...come to think of it, I don't think they ever did tell me.

Believe me, we'll have plenty of food. Almost every year, we have enough leftovers on appetizers for weeks. Not to mention, you'll help do your part to make sure my mother doesn't serve turkey leftovers for the next five days. (This is why I make sure to avoid being in the house at dinnertime for the immediate weekend after.)

God.....that sounds just like Atlanta-Hartsfield. That place is like hell on earth. And the screeners are never less than rude, at least they come off that way to me. I hate having to fly out of there with a vengenace, flying in isn't that bad, though.

I don't worry about the food. :) I think there will be a lot of that in the next week or so. :)

I'll remember that if we ever fly into the Atlanta area. At least the screeners in Newark are friendly, I'll give them that.

mmm...food...

They are friendly there. I don't know what's wrong with the ones in Atlanta. Souther Hospitality my ass.

I've been very weepy myself lately and am sorry to hear The Grrl is feeling similar. Sucks, doesn't it? Hormones had me bawling, listening to "Faster than Light" by Duran Duran. And its not even their best song.

I love 'Faster Than Light'. But I know what you mean. I just think it's one of those cycles.

And I just checked- full moon tonight. Explains a lot.
