I agree about the Stones! I love the fact that they are still rocking hard. Grace Slick of Jefferson Starship(or Jefferson Airplane, depending on the generation of their music you prefer, LOL) once said that "people over 50 don't belong on a rock & roll stage." Well, Gracie, speak for yourself. Just because you choose not to do it doesn't mean that others shouldn't. There are many of us who love the fact that our heroes from our younger days are still rocking out!

*ahem* *removes soapbox* Sorry for the rant! LOL

I love Grace, but disagree with her there. I still think she could do it and show some of the girls how to sing. Besides, Tina Turner performed till she was 63 and you can't tell me she wasn't kicking ass.

I agree with you 100%. One of the reasons Grace's statement pissed me off so much is because I TOTALLY think she can still do it and can show the younger ones what it's all about. Whether she really believes her own words or whether she is just afraid/ashamed of being older, it's very sad.

Tina rocks!!!!!! I saw her on Oprah not too long ago, and she still delivers with the best of 'em.

Tina is one of my heroines of all time. I just admire her on so many levels. Plus she got to sing with Bowiue, so I need little more proof. :) Even Bret Michaels once said that he liked her a lot.

I dunno if Grace believe her words. I know she wrote it in her autobiography for certain. But I recall seeing a clip of her doing a song on stage with her ex and her voice was still fucking strong as hell. I think it's the 60's rebellious child still inside of her. :)
