Day is almost done. :)

Took my test this morning. EARLY. Think I did well, even on the Maths, but I need to check my scores on the site make sure I don't need a re-take. (Don't know if I could handle a retake right about now.) I was alert, focused and knew what I knew. The math stumped me a wee bit but I got through it.

Headed over to frackattack's house afterwards, and off we ( Read more... )

Yay for Mom being home *and* eating and *smiling. Yay for all of that.

I think frackattack took some pictures during and afterwards, so as soon as she can upload them, I'll post them.

I'm so happy that your Mom is home and doing well! Although I don't know the whole story I have been keeping up with your latest postings and hearing about all that you, your Mom, and your family have been going through is really sad to hear so I'm glad that things have finally taken a better course.

So, you've finally joined the cool club of people who have Heartagram tats. Welcome! I have one on the back of my neck just like Ville. I'm sooo original ;-) The shoulderblade area sounds like a sensitive area to me. I don't have anything there but with that bone and all it just seems like it would be painful there. Cool spot for the symbol though!

Pix please ^_^

I was actually discouraged years ago by people about putting one there, with the bone being so close to the surface and all, but I felt comfortable with it and it actually hurt less there, I think because my arms and shoulders have a bit more meat on them than the average girl. But the artist and my friend agreed it looked really good right there- plus it will be all nice and healed up by the time the show comes next month, so I can show it off. And I need to drop a few more pounds too....:) The tattooist was real good too so I felt comfortable with him, and he guaranteed it, so that's always good too. :)

And thank you for the nice words about my Mom. We still have a ways to go, but she seems to be doing well at home so far. We're keeping our spirits high.

Good news about your mum! And Heartagram tattoo you say? Hardcore! Do you have any other tattoos?

This is my first one. I no longer have virgin skin. :) But I have at least two more ideas for tats. Since my money is tight right now, though, they will probably have to wait until after the New Year to execute.

The guy who did my tat said that I actually took it pretty well and that for a first timer that was saying something, because they usually like to do straight lines on newbies, and mine was more continous in pattern.

Read about the Styx show- don't they do a hell of a show? I saw them last year and had a ball. Gowan is a total riot with that spinning keyboard.

Yay ink! Did you go to the place that is the basis for the show Miami Ink?

No, though we passed it once or twice. It's actually kinda pricey and people like me don't have a lot of money to spend. We went to a place called Tattoos by Lou, which is an established business in Miami for over 40 years now and has a good rep as well. They do good work. Maybe if I ever come into money I'll get one done there. :)
