Yup- it's www.ashtonallen.net. It's a very nice site.
You know, someone asked me the dresded Michael v. JD question the other day. I admitted that while LD does have a great voice, the voice of INXS will always be Michael.
He wrote it while on a trip to NYC. He was driving through Harlem (this was back in the 80's) and saw how kids from all backgrounds were playing together without any major hangups, and it made him think that we were all like that at one time before people said that we couldn't hang out together, and he was also thinking of the civil rights struggle, of Martin L. King and how he was striving for equality across the board. So that's what is is about- not sex (not like I used to think), but how the original sin is really passing prejudice and hatred on to the next generation, that's not how it was supposed to be.
Okay- you said short, but you ARE dealing with a writer, okay? :)
That was short! And I dig it. It makes me think about how the Duran guys were driving in a car and heard Nile's remix of "Original Sin" and said "This is the guy we've got to get to produce us..."
I would hope so. :) Though I think it had more to do with John and his Chic obsession. LOL But since they knew each other, I am sure that mentioned him to the boys.
Though that was a puzzler to me, I didn't really see a mention of DD in the book. Was it that they weren't as close as I thought, or an oversight? Bono got plenty mentions......

I haven't been keeping up to date with INXS. :( I like JD, but I miss Michael so I'm kinda straying away from them.
