LJI: Reinventing the Wheel

The destination was never the reason for setting out. To simply go, to weigh anchor and turn the wheel and bend the creaking boards of an old sailboat, the feel of the wind in my hair, salt in my nose, that was it. Loved the ending phrase of 'and three quarter time seemed to suit me just fine.' What wonderful wording for the concept of a slower pace, etc.

Nice. There's a great glimpse into longing and a feel of redemption here... I would love to have the ability to roam the world through the seas... I totally inderstand the call of the great waters.
