As for the incessant drawing... that is how I was as a child. My mom used to work in real estate and she'd bring home piles and piles of outdated specs sheets for the townhomes she was selling... printed only on one side -- the other was good enough for me to draw on! It was great. I am glad (but not surprised) that you are encouraging him in that way.

My parents are professors and brought home old test papers and handouts for my sister and I to draw on the back of. :)
