Read Jon Ronson's "The Men Who Stare at Goats." It contains verified accounts of things just as strange, though not quite as sinister.
I've read bits and pieces of all that. It's an interesting phenomenon how accounts of bigfoot find their way into saucer/psychic/conspiracy lore, a vice versa. It doesn't really lend to the credibility of such stories, but it does make them fascinating on a psychological level. I tend to read that sort of stuff simply for its entertainment value. The story as you posted it contains a major hole in the logic: how did they build the facility w/out anyone noticing.

He approaches conspiracy theory from a sceptical but non-judgmental position. In his book Them, he hangs out with a variety of extremists whom he paints in a sympathetic (or simply pathetic and therefore very human) light. Both should be available through Amazon
