Friday, New York City, the Salisbury Hotel

Peter had reached New York without incident, then checked into a hotel. At this particular moment, he was debating his next move. Walking around with a sign that said "Do you know me?" was right out. Maybe he could find an internet cafe and google himself or something.

Veronica had found Peter's credit card trail and decided to check it out and see if it was really him or someone who had assumed his identity before getting Claire's hopes up.

She had gotten her personal cosmic taxi service to drop her off in a janitor's closet in the hotel and he was on standby to return her or possibly both of them to Milieux.

Now she was knocking on the door to Peter's room, hoping she was going to find him for Claire's sake.

Peter glanced at the door. He hadn't ordered room service, so he moved to the door and cautiously asked, "Yes?"

Hmm, whoever it was was being cautious. Could be Peter if he was hiding out after faking his death or could be an identity thief.

Veronica quickly decided on a good cover story. "Mr. Petrelli, I'm sorry to bother you, but there's a problem with your reservation. I was hoping we could discuss it."

Peter opened up the door. "What's wrong with it?" he asked.

And wham, he was struck with a strange sense of familiarity with the blonde woman who stood out in the hallway.
