I WANT THE OTHER BOOKS TOO. =D ANNE WITH AN 'E'! [sorry, random.]

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH THAT'S WHERE KINDRED SPIRITS IS FROM!!! :D :D :D Forgot.

Oooh, I saw the fifth book or something at a bookshop in Bombay [useless morons didn't have any of the other books!] and I read the summary and Anne and Gilbert are married. HMM.

I want to read the second book and the one after that and the one after that and probably not the rest because they seem sadly like Anne's all grown-up now and I don't know if I will like grown-up Anne because she's so awfully wonderful [oxymoron!] as she is. =P

Rachu you are a kindred spirit :D

And yup, I've read the books before, up till about the fifth. So I know that they're married (It's pretty inevitable isn't it!) and then yeah there's lots more they live happily.

Goodness I am SO desperate for the next book I WANT IT *THROWS TANTRUM*

Anyway, you can read the series online here. Which I am doing now, because I am very desperate. But it isn't the same as a book, there's so much more scope for imagination when you actually have a solid book in your hands. D:

I came here to ransack your LJ to find the site which has the Anne series because three days ago I bought Anne of Avonlea and I finished reading it yesterday [it is so much nicer to read a book as a book and not as fanfiction online - reading online, I never had the patience and it struck me as dull, but the book itself is wonderful and I'm keeping it right next to my other favourite books on my Chu'sFavouriteBooks shelf] and I was looking at the summary-thingies [I think blurbs are only for the backs of books, right?] and I saw the one for Anne of the Island and I wanted to read it very very much because it's so...intriguing.

I went back five pages, before I found this, and then gurgh, I realised you've tagged it, so...some time wasted. Although I did have some fun reading some of your older entries.

Yes, well...I don't really think there was a point in all of this rambling.

You haven't read? D:

Ah, it's a children's classic, actually, but I enjoyed it as much as I did when I first read it. Possibly even more so, because I could better appreciate the story and the language and all.

I have Anne of Green Gables. I'll lend it to you, if you want, when I meet you for FAM?

I should warn you though, there are frequent vivid descriptions of the scenery and weather and all, and Anne talks a LOT. One whole page, non-stop! But she's such a happy and endearing character that you just can't hate her. I can empathise with her eternal optimism, heh. :> And Prince Edward Island in Canada where the whole thing is set just seems so so so very beautiful.

I think if you liked I Capture the Castle you might like this!
