The new Click Five CD came out today. My hubby went out after work and brought it home for me. Only thing is...that hottie lead singer from Indiana? He left the band! They have this Emo!Kid leader singer now. I guess we'll see how it is!

please explain to me what emo is. I am sick of seeing it around and not knowing what the freaking letters mean. :)

heheh emo is...hmm, how do you explain it? It's basically a slang term for the "punk lifestyle" of today's "youth." It's short for emote or emotion, and is like e-moh, not e.m.o. There are certain bands that just exude emo-esque tendencies, such as Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy.

Wikipedia has this breakdown: "Members of the emo subculture are portrayed by critics as melodramatic, self-pitying teenagers who pour their efforts into writing bad poetry and spending a great amount of time on MySpace." Here's the wiki link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_(slang)

They are the but of several jokes, such as "What's the difference between an EMO!Kid and a pizza? The pizza doesn't cut itself." and "I wish my lawn was emo so it would cut itself."

I pretty much call any male who has that silly haircut and eyeliner an EMO!Kid :) The haircut I'm talking about is on the lead singer (middle guy) and the second from left guy on the cover of the cd: Reply
