I think this place really does hate me..

[The fact that he's laying outside, on the ground, in the rain, in plain sight of anybody strange enough to be walking around in the rain. Nothing too weird right? Besides the laying in the rain...and the obvious lack of shoes.

Come closer though and you might see that he looks like he just lost the worst one-

[ Having left the journal open in the case of a message, he immediately grabs it and listens to that familiar voice. ]

Niko!

[ He rises from his seat within the apartment. Time to leave. ]

Hold on, I'm coming -- where are you?

[ This is all your fault.

But Eesa, is Niko considerably harder to carry in the rain. The distance feels twice as long. He won't let that discourage him, though. Must keep going. He makes sure that Niko isn't sliding off or anything now and then. ]

[And you will only be able to find this little girl in every town that looks like Eiko from FFIX!!

He's not going anywhere though, since he's holding on fairly well.He will just give up son if you don't get there soon.]

[ Did Eiko break the fourthwall and infiltrate ImageEpoch.

Patience. It takes a good, long while; but they eventually reach the community building they stay at, and are only a few steps away. Alf takes another moment to readjust his grip on his friend's arm. ]

N-not there yet? Niko just sighs. MAN this place really does hate him.]

[ At least he's got the energy to sigh about it. Alf just offers a small smile at that (even if it may be hard to see past the rain), though he nearly slips -- again -- when they reach the entrance. It's a jarring experience, considering how he almost falls backwards with Niko in tow. Fortunately for them, it's only almost. ]

[If he had the choice he would be complaining about about, but geez Alf, you should have better balance then that! Please excuse Niko while he freaks out even though nothing happens.]

[ Well, sorry that he's feeling a little overwhelmed by your 135 pounds and however much more you gained from soaking in water! Alf just shakes his head, and speaks loud enough to be heard over the rain. ]

Sorry. Let's get inside.

[ There's the entrance. Rejoice. ]

[Don't blame almost slipping on him...it's not completely his fault.

Once he calms back down though, he'll be happy on the inside.]

[ Once they're inside, Alf slackens his grip on Niko's arm and mats his hair with a free hand. He's getting wet a lot these days. ]

We'll rest for a minute before heading up. You must be out of breath.

[And it's funny that he's caring that much about his hair at the moment! Niko's not really out of breath though...he's just tired.]

...This place really does hate me.

[ His head feels heavy otherwise! He chuckles weakly, and lightly shakes his head. ]

I'm sure that's not true. It'll get better, soon.

But I've only had bad luck here. [You cannot deny this.]

That could very well be a sign that things will look up soon. [ He can't, indeed, but he can always be optimistic. ]
