Tiny Tuesday: Pets
We already knew that this fandom was about a bunch of furries. Which is just AWESOME for the lolz. So I now bring to you the logical corollary to that fact - our fandom is made of pet lovers as well! *is met with crickets chirping* There isn't actually a logical connection, but that can't mean that these are not simultaneously some of my favorite facts about these bands. With that in mind, I bring to you tiny pets for tiny Tuesday! (And a MILLION thanks to ladysorka and her awesomely comprehensive picspams. I suspect that I probably got about 70% of the picture portion from her, so go forth and love on her for most of these pictures.)
Panic!
The main pets to keep track of here are Hobo (Ryan's dog) and Dylan & Clover (Jon's cats). Spencer may or may not have co-own a dog with Haley and Brendon does not seem to have any pets that we can keep track of. Also, for the interested, here is Hobo's myspace. (No word on if this is fan run or RyRo himself updating, but I kind of love to imagine Ryan and Keltie sitting around on Friday nights updating. HILARITY!)

Keltie and Hobo just look so adorable together, they really do.
*blinks* I don't think I realized just how many pictures of Hobo I'd managed to amass until just now. But she is just SUCH a cute dog!
Spencer and Haley and the dog that I've seen mentioned as being co-owned by them and as being one of their childhood dogs. Any bit of conclusive canon on this would be much appreciated!
This is Jon Walker's cat Dylan. For as much as she shows up in fics, you would think that she has a ton of pictures out there. But this is the only picture of her I've ever been able to find.
And this is Jon's other cat Clover. Clover is also adorable and I feel that Jon needs to post more pictures of both of his kitties STAT!
Fall Out Boy
For Fall Out Boy, Hemingway is the most important pet to keep track of, hands down. He is Pete's bulldog and apparent the greatest love of his life. Joe's dog Succah might have just been rented for Cribz (because I don't know that we have ever seen her before or heard from her since!) and Patrick's dog Penny seems to be a recent addition, but Hemmy is here to stay! (And again for the interested, here are Penny's, Hemmy's and Succah's myspaces. Again, no word on if they are real or fanmade, but still a never-ending source of HILARITY.)
Here are Joe and Succah and here is Joe's appearance on MTV Cribz. Joe is one of my favorites, so I'd recommend watching the whole thing (you can wash two babies in that sink. And a duck ... ♥) But for the pertinent bits: Succah is introduced at 0:40 and then nearly disappears for the rest of the segment until she shows back up for the ending at 5:48 and 6:20. (Look for her wandering in the background and at Joe's feet during other parts as well)
For Penny, we have even less canon on. Travis' recent blog entry is made of adorable, and makes me want LOTS of domestic fic about Patrick and Travis and Penny, but I don't think I've even found any screen caps of that video footage.
And this is Hemingway.
Hemmy is SO put upon!
(And occasionally gets music videos made from his point of view)
But regardless of how much poor Hemmy has to put up with,
There is no doubt that Pete loves him.

Joe is apparently Hemmy's other parent after Pete split with Janene.

My Chem
For these guys, you really only need to know 3 words: Mikey and Alicia. No, seriously. Frankie and Jamia apparently have a menagerie that rivals, but Alicia likes to post their pictures to her myspace. Also, Bunny totally wins the most put upon pet award. Period, end of story.

Cobra Starship
Our pet for this band is Vicky T's dog Gizmo. Vicky and Gabe danced with Gizmo to promote Smile for the Paparazzi. He also cameos throughout the Guilty Pleasure music video, but most famously for his humping of the cushion at the end. *sniggers* Don't you worry Gizmo - that will make you famous some day! Vicky also made and directed another video about him. Better watch out Pete - Vicky T is going to beat you in the quest for craziest bandom pet owner!

Gabe seems to enjoy the company of other dogs.

I swear, looking at these, I could be very easily persuaded that it is an Australian law that every traveling band must pose with a koala OR ELSE!

There are really two sub-types of fics that deal with the adorkableness of small furry animals - the ones where they are adorable with animals and the ones where they are turned into animals. There’s very little that Brendon loves more than his old pony, Murray. But Brendon, when pressed, will admit that he loves Spencer Smith more. Or, okay, maybe just as much, because if Spencer ever told him - which he never would, but for an example - if Spencer ever told him to get rid of Murray, Brendon doesn’t think he’d be able to choose Spencer over his pony, not unless there were some fucking awesome extenuating circumstances.
Of course, since Spencer Smith barely knows Brendon’s alive, well. None of that really matters.
Maybe Pete Was Onto Something by impertinence (My Chemical Romance, Gerard/Frank, R)
But his hamster just keeps watching him.
"You don't think I'm a creep, do you?"
Stare.
"I'm glad," Gerard says. "Because you're cute."
The hamster squeaks and hops back on her wheel.
"I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship," Gerard says, and goes back to drawing robot zombies eating Adam's head.
The Favorite by tigs (Panic! at the Disco, Brendon/Spencer, PG)
Indeed, once Ryan and Spencer actually made it into the living room, Dylan was most of the way to the kitchen, trying to look nonchalant in his exit, while at the same time hurrying just (more than) a little bit, yet still taking time to look over his shoulder to make sure that Ryan and Spencer *knew* they were the reason that Dylan would no longer be gracing them with his presence, just FYI, and he hoped they understood what they were all missing out on.
An Emergency of the Heart by bexless (My Chemical Romance, AU, Gerard/Frank, PG-13)
“Gnargh,” he says, and tries to pull his pillow over his head. “There’s no way it can be time to get up yet. Come on.”
Another sharp tug, and Gerard knows from experience that it won’t stop until he’s vertical or at least sitting up in bed, so he shoves the pillow away and says, “You know, it’s not nice to wake people up from good dreams. Where are you assholes when I’m having a nightmare, huh?”
The bluebird on his nightstand just looks at him and chirrups.
Getting Turned into Animals!
The Wolf Prince by iphignia939 (Fall Out Boy, AU, Pete/Patrick, R)
The wolf looked at him. Patrick couldn't be sure, but he'd seen that expression before, usually on his mother's face when he'd done something stupid: that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Which -- of course it was. Wolves didn't bark.
Patrick closed his eyes and pressed his fingers against them. "I should start going to town more often," he said faintly.
The wolf, settling in near the fire, made a noise of agreement.

Spencer’s shoulders slumped. He knew his mouth was hanging open, knew his mom would make some comment about him catching flies if she were there, but she wasn’t. And for the first time since he’d started thinking of himself as a real live grown up in his head, Spencer sort of wished she was.
“Brendon,” Spencer repeated, rolling the name on his tongue. “Our Brendon. Brendon Urie. Our singer. Our friend. Our…whatever. Is now a koala.”

Brendon was rolling out before he thought about it, landing with a thump on his knees between the bunks. He was already reaching toward Jon's curtain--because whatever that sound had been, it was in there with Jon--when another sound started up, stopping Brendon short.

Ryan Ross was not happy. He had gone to bed the night before, a perfectly ordinary boy, set his alarm so he could go into the shelter the next morning for his volunteering shift, and now he had woken up at the shelter.
And he appeared to be a small dog.
