It might be strange, but I think the bit of this that got me the most was the part about Pete missing dial tones. I mean, the whole thing was really, really good, and I love the way you write about pete progressing from things he'll eventually say to things he doesn't want to talk about. But just that little detail of missing the certainty that someone is done talking to you that comes with a dial tone feels like it says so much about how Pete thinks in this.

Not strange at all! I rather like that bit, and this would have had a very different tone if I'd written that bit first and had time to treat it properly.

I hope that people don't spend a lot of time hanging up on him literally or metaphorically (Oh, Pete...) but I'm sure when you spend your life on the road and so does most everyone else you know, that you spend a fair bit of time talking to dead air and then feeling like an idiot.

Finally, a fic about Pete's Twitter addiction. :)

This was strangely sad, but a great fic nonetheless :D

Seriously! I felt a little bad for taking up a story idea that so clearly needs to be written with such a short piece.

Thank you!

This awesome, funny but touching at the same time.

I loved this line:
at some point it stopped being things that Pete would normally have said and saved for later, and started being things that even he knew better than to say aloud.
awwww, Pete. ♥
