Hey! I'll totally help plan Run For Your Lives with you! Will it relieve the stress? :D

Maybe you can talk to your boss some time after work about doing some extra work or something? :( They had no extra work at Eric's workplace so he just got laid off...sucks.

Would you really help with planning? I'd really appreciate it :) Do those dates sound good for you? Is that enough exploring time for Portland? Enough driving time? These are the things I'm worried about because I have no concept how driving (how exhausting it is, how long it takes, etc.) is.

Dude, sorry about Eric getting laid off. I feel like he mentioned it like he knew it was coming or something, though? Will they re-hire him when it gets busy, like how Kevin's dad gets laid off during the slow months, and then he goes on EI and then he gets rehired? Or will he just find other work? Unemployment is stressful. :/

yeah! i will help plan! you can drive Vancouver to portland in 6-7 hours, i think...but driving that long straight gets a little tiring, so if we can drive in morning and kind of settle in a bit for the evening that would be best. ohh...but i know we'll be stopping in the middle to do Run For Your Lives...I'll have to think about that.

even if we're driving, it's kind of fun to take transit around downtown because it's free! plus so convenient! and then we can visit beer-y places. also, any food places you really want to try? Pok pok was so awesome, I wouldn't mind going again, but we may have to wait a while. :( We didn't wait long because we were just 2 people and sat at the bar. also, there's lots of shopping, tax free, so if you need to get anything, get it there!

Last time E got laid off last year & they hired him back 2 weeks later when work showed up ag ain, but he doesn't know this time. He's gonna send out resumes and maybe go back to school, but not sure for what.

Oh man, I really appreciate the planning help.

I guess, in my mind, this is how it's going to break down, schedule-wise:
August 3rd - Everyone gathers around 2 or 3pm, and we hit the road. Settle in to a motel/hotel for the evening.
August 4th - Drive into Run For Your Lives, After party, go back to the hotel, or camp for free at the campsite there
August 5th - Make our way down to Portland, check into our hotel, chill, sight-seein'
August 6th - More chillin', sight-seein'
August 7th - Last minute sight seein', Leave around 2 or 3pm, to make it back in Vancouver at a decent time, so we can all go to work the next day lol

I want Vonne to be our tour guide! Show us all the cool places! There was this retro arcade/pub place...Ground Kontrol or something? We want to visit there! We should Yelp it XD

I had job uncertainty :/ Hopefully he finds something soon or finds something he wants to take at school! Just avoid private schools! haha
