I've got some inner conflict going on here about what TV to buy for my dorm room this year.

First off -- I'm wavering between a 13" and a 19". A 13" would probably be okay for a small dorm room this year, but in an apartment next year or after college, I might find it too small. The 13" would cost somewhat less, and my pinchpenny frugal spirit

If you get the Symphonic TV, within a couple of years, it will invariably turn evil and refuse to stay on. It will automatically turn itself off no matter how many times you unplug it and then plug it back in. You can change the batteries in the remote. Keep pressing that damn power button on the TV. Makes no difference. It will turn on temptingly for less than 20 seconds, then switch off while laughing maniacally.

"Muhahahahaha! And you thought I would let you watch 'Shrek 2' now! Take that, you evil sequel-loving person, you!"

In short, don't get the Symphonic. I have one. It is evil.
