Ray Toro playing all the guitar parts

I've seen a paraphrase of a quote (probably in an MCR or a Toro primer which I can't find again) that Ray was playing lead and rhythm guitars when somebody pointed out that he couldn't play both live. His response was something like "I'll just skip parts". Does anyone know where this quote is from ( Read more... )

I wish I could be more specific to help you. I know what you're talking about, but I can't even remember if it was a print interview or video, I just know I've seen/read it. They were talking about getting ready to record Bullets, and it was either Geoff Rickley or someone else involved in that recording who pointed out that while Ray had written, and was planing on recording, two guitar parts for most of their songs, he wouldn't be able to play them live. His response was that he'd just pick one, aaaaaand pretty soon as we all know, the band realized that wouldn't work, and enter Frank stage right.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but that's what I remember about it!

I guess it was on a Kerrang's edition, from later 2007, because I remember reading it, not really watching a video. It's an edition where they talk a lot about the early MCR, if I'm not mistaken.
